Validation

Daily we seek ways to become validated. It happens on an unconscious level. Distress and discouragement; poor choices; abusive relationships ending; sicknesses and addictions; all of these claim a portion of our lives. We lose sight when distress happens and when we are discouraged by circumstance or people. Our own poor choices or those around us that affect us directly or indirectly tend to aggravate our peace. Abusiveness in relationships tear at our core and make us feel let down and angry, sometimes filled with Bitterness at the evil intent; yet at a loss as to why it happened. Sicknesses we have no control over that take a loved one or damage our plans; and last of all the addictions that control us: smoking, drinking, gambling, drugs, people, sex, control, attitudes, church, religiosity, spiritual overkill, and even atheistic domination can be considered an addiction. Whatever it is that takes your focus off of helping humanity as well as helping yourself to a better life are addictions.

Then, when we feel like we are let down and at the end of our rope, a validation comes through that let's us know we did the right thing by giving up that addiction, that severing of relationship, that moment when we have beaten ourselves up over, but realize we were justified. What a gratification moment!

Those times are the ones that we think we need. That we feel we need validating to keep moving forward, but in reality you do not need it. Your validation comes from living the best you can and giving to others with a Genuine heart of kindness. Mistakes happen, attitudes happen, life happens: What do you do with the time you are given and how do you make it right when you have been wrong?

Each day create in your heart a space that forgives yourself when you have disrespected someone, hurt them in cruel and intentional ways, and alienated another in some form. Those actions that hurt others, they actually hurt the whole world. For Angels Watch you and what you say and do and record those things. They will be replayed for you. We are not justified in any evil doing. We must accept our part in the trash of this life, own it, and stop repeating it again and again.

Life is too short to be angry and mean. Life is too short to hold grudges and stains. Life is too short to destroy love and life. Life is too short to be blinded by the wrongs of others, let alone our own wrongdoings.

Today: life is good. No matter if you missed a full night's sleep, are in pain, are deeply sorrowful over the loss of a partnership out of your control, or just plan angry at the world. Life is good. It is! There are clouds, rain, sorrows..but their is someone somewhere making another person's life filled with joy and laughter. BE that person today, somewhere. ~Just a reflective thought by Pamela (April 11, 2014)
